Home at last
Well, the King family has been sleeping under one roof again now for about a week. Last Saturday, the kids and I flew in to the airport at a quarter 'til four and Chris' plane was supposed to land about an hour later. Our plane landed, I somewhat successfully got the kids off and were prepared to stuff all six of our suitcases on a smart carte and sit and wait. We walked through the gate, and Chris was already there to meet us! It turns out that the military had messed up their tickets and had gotten them home a day earlier than expected. This did mean that he flew straight from overseas to Arizona, stopping only to change planes. Long couple of days. So there has been a lot of excitement this past week with all of us getting used to each other again, and Karis can't sleep because she's so stinking excited about being home. Silas showed his excitement by popping out a tooth. Not even six months old and already getting teeth. (It broke the gum yesterday, by the way.)

I'm so excited for all of you! Glad Chris is home safely. Hope y'all enjoy your "reacclimation" to family life. Rebekah, instruct Karis to jump on Chris' stomach early on a Sat. morning. He'll know he's home then :-)
I tried! She comes in at the break of dawn and says 'Momma the sun's up - time to get up!' Then at like noon, I said I was going to go wake up Chris and she put her little hand up and said 'No, momma, daddy needs to sleep. Don't wake him up!' Sheesh!
