Ok, so it's been a little while since we've updated. Here's what's been going on in this King household. Not long after Chris left, my family came for a short visit. We decided to spend a few days up in Scottsdale, which is a cute little town on the outskirts of Phoenix. We booked a place in a resort that had four pools and a restaurant on site and figured that we'd spend most of our time in the pool since it was mid July. Well, when its 115 degrees outside (I'm not exaggerating here) the pools in Scottsdale feel like bathwater. Yum. But, bathwater is cooler than 115 degress, so we tried to make the best of it and left nice and crispy. After that we went back to OK for a little while and visited then came back to AZ after the 9" of monsoon rains had fallen.

Since we've come back, I've started homeschooling Karis and she's started ballet. Homeschooling a 3 year old is a lot of fun and we're making great progress! Her first ballet class was today and so glad we signed her up for that! Her teacher is wonderful and good with kids. He's just the right mix of funny and teacher, so we expect great things at her recital in 10 weeks!
Silas is growing, only slightly though as he's waiting for his dad to get back to start the good stuff. He had a dr. apt. last week and he's a little smaller than other kids his age, but still developing at a good rate in other areas so it's not a concern yet. He's starting to walk - took his first steps a few days ago, just up and decided it was time to walk, so that will be coming soon also.
Chris is doing ok. He's hit the halfway point for coming home, but if any of you would like to drop him a card, letter, small box of cookies, book, ect. . nothing extravagent by any means, just something to let him know you remember who he is, he'd appreciate it. Let me know if you want his address and I'll get it to you.
