We went to the zoo today.
The kids wanted to feed the giraffes.

They were just a *little* excited.

On the way Silas was talking to Karis about feeding the giraffes and was telling her not to be scared, they won't bite.He would teach her how to feed a giraffe.
Instead of kindly giving the food to the giraffe, he just tosses it in the right direction. Turns out he has good aim, but that poor animal! They are going to run next time they see him coming!

Here's the previous image zoomed in a bit. I think his sister just learned how to really feed a giraffe.

She didn't particularly like being so close to a bearded dragon. Didn't you know they can breathe out fire, melt the glass, and come after her? I didn't know that actually. Guess we got lucky the dragon didn't feel like breathing fire on us today!
I handed Karis the camera and let her be the photographer.

Here they are learning about a monkey.

Silas didn't quite get why she was holding a container of vegetables that aren't real?!? They don't hand out snacks when they teach you at the zoo? C'mon!

Here are their tattoos they got from learning. Which is a good substitute for not giving them food.

This goes to show the best things in life are FREE! On our way home we saw this:

The kids got a bigger kick out of it than the zoo. No I'm not joking.
(It's the weinermobile.)

We all have pictures inside that egg, it's one of those things you have to do every time we go to the zoo! IDK why. . . :)
