Karis shut her thumb in the car door about a month ago.
Her thumbnail has yet to fall off, but is black and is ready to fall off.
She's been concerned with not being able to find her thumbnail once it falls off.
Why? you might ask.I've been asking myself that question and the best place to go to find the answer would be our little princess herself.
Her reply is one that made me cry. And laugh.
She said "Once my thumbnail falls off I need to put it under my pillow and see if I get something for it, like a toy or money. You know, like a tooth. Sort of."

Can I just say that that story just made my day? Sometimes I wonder just how her mind works and know that we'll have to keep an eye on her one day, I can see her telling all of the kids in the neighborhood about the "thumbnail fairy" and you having to deal with quite a few annoyed parents!
