You learn something new every day

We didn't just 'skip' two weeks of pregnancy if you're looking at the ticker at the top. I just never paid that much attention with the older two since it never was an issue, so I thought that the day you conceived started the beginning of the 40 week countdown, but apparently it starts from the first day of your last menstrual cycle. So, even though Chris hasn't been home that long, that's just how it works. Let me clear this up, too. There is no question that this is Chris' baby! Just seems weird to me that we can be 7 weeks along when he's only been home for 5. Our due date is 26 May!

On another note here's another Karis-ism for the day. She's heard her father say that he wants to stop after baby 3 and she also knows she wants more babies in the house. So, she's been asking if we can have twins. (I think she would ask for sextuplets if that word was in her vocabulary!) I told her that mommy and daddy don't determine if there's twins, you have to pray for twins and ask God for them. She turned to me after having this same conversation every day for about a week and asks 'Well, mom, isn't it a little too late to pray for twins since the baby is already in your tummy?'

Her mind seems so much older than that of a 4yo.
