boys will be boys

The topic today: bugs. I don't like them in any shape or form (as many of you know) and although I'm getting better at having to chase them down with a shoe when Chris is gone, I still would prefer someone else do it. Karis and I were at the dining table having school and Silas opened up a curtain to find a (gasp!) dead fly. He points and tells me 'Mom, bug' over and over again until I finally got a paper towel and tossed our little friend in the trash. Since then he proceeds to check the windowsills everyday for dead flies and upon finding one, he'll ask for a paper towel and toss it in the trash. Today I told him no paper towel and he looks at me and says 'Ok, I eat it then.' He found his way to getting a paper towel pretty quickly. Won't be long before he's bringing me live ones and asking to keep them. Fun.

As I was reading this post, I just kept thinking, "he can talk that much?!" I know the kids have to be growing up so much, and I hate that we're missing it. Please keep up the blog (I say that, like I keep mine up!), it's really nice to be able to check up on you guys on here.
